In an effort to promote the health and well-being of Puerto Vallarta residents, Luis Munguía Gonzalez’s administration, through the Health Promotion Directorate, is excited to announce a Health Day on Wednesday, March 26. This event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the UMA Esplanade and Training Room (3rd floor), offering free and comprehensive preventive medical services to the community.
A range of local health institutions will collaborate to provide essential services focused on health promotion and disease prevention. The Health Promotion Directorate will lead engaging oral health activities, while the COMUSIDA committee will conduct vital screenings for HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis to support efforts against sexually transmitted diseases.
The IMSS Family Clinic 170 will join the initiative, setting up a vaccination center where attendees can receive various vaccines, including those for influenza, pneumococcus, tetanus and diphtheria (TD), human papillomavirus (HPV), and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis). A full vaccination schedule for children under five will also be available, ensuring that both children and adults are adequately immunized.
Additionally, Dr. Tucán’s Mobile Clinic will be present, offering general medical consultations, dental services, nutritional counseling, and pharmacy support, with free medications available as needed.
