110. Puerto Vallarta to Welcome 23 Cruise Ship Arrivals in April

Puerto Vallarta is poised to welcome 23 international cruise ships this April, a number that matches last year’s arrivals for the same month. The National Port System Administration (Asipona) indicates that these visits will significantly bolster the local economy, providing substantial benefits to tourism-related businesses throughout the region.

This month will feature two days with double cruise visits, and two others with triple arrivals. On Thursday, April 10, both the Carnival Panorama and the Norwegian Joy will dock simultaneously, followed by another double arrival on Sunday, April 27, with the Nieuw Amsterdam and the Caribbean Princess making port.

The scheduled triple arrivals will occur on consecutive days. On Tuesday, April 22, Puerto Vallarta will welcome the Navigator of the Seas, Carnival Panorama, and Zaandam. The next day, Wednesday, April 23, will see the Discovery Princess, Coral Princess, and Eurodam all in port.

Additionally, during this bustling week, the Serenade of the Seas is slated to arrive, bringing nearly 20,000 cruise passengers and generating an estimated economic impact of $2.5 million.

The first ship of the month will dock on Tuesday, April 1, with the Carnival Panorama’s arrival. In total, two vessels will arrive that week, followed by five more in the following week. Adding to the excitement, Asipona Vallarta announces the return of the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, previously known as the Seabourn, after its acquisition by the Japanese company MOL Cruises.

March cruise arrivals concluded on Saturday, March 29, with the Zaandam. The ship, on an 11-day journey through the Mexican Riviera and the Sea of Cortez, departed from San Diego on March 22 and is expected back on April 2. Before reaching Puerto Vallarta, it made stops in Mazatlán and Manzanillo, carrying 1,393 passengers and 578 crew members.

With a bustling schedule ahead, Puerto Vallarta remains a popular destination for cruise travelers, ushering in a surge of tourism and economic benefits to the city.
