In a recent demonstration of collaborative governance, Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus and Puerto Vallarta Mayor Luis Munguía inaugurated Francisco Murguía Street, a significant roadway intended to alleviate local traffic congestion. This project, representing an investment of 18 million pesos, will benefit over 56,800 individuals by enhancing mobility, safety, and overall well-being for residents and visitors alike.
The two-lane thoroughfare enables smoother traffic flow and easier access for cargo trucks, incorporating modern lighting, street amenities, landscaped planters, clear signage, and upgraded water and sewage systems.
Additionally, Governor Lemus and Mayor Munguía inspected the construction of the Las Juntas Interchange Bridge, emphasizing its importance for the city’s infrastructure. Upcoming collaborative projects include a new pier in Mismaloya and feasibility studies for the Uruguay Street pier to enhance maritime connectivity.
Puerto Vallarta is also expecting the arrival of 67 new air-conditioned buses in the next five weeks, with more vehicles for the Francisco Medina Ascencio corridor scheduled for late November and early December.
These initiatives underscore Puerto Vallarta’s commitment to infrastructure growth and mobility, reinforcing its position as a leading destination while improving the daily lives of its residents.
