The historic galleon Marigalante II will be presented to the public today in Puerto Vallarta at 6 p.m. with a symbolic journey through the bay and along the Malecón. During the event, the galleon will sail towards Camarones Beach, paying tribute to its iconic predecessor, the original Marigalante.
The ceremony will highlight the legacy of the former ship, which for nearly three decades offered entertainment and cultural tours in the region. The journey will include a return to Marina Vallarta and will culminate in front of Los Arcos del Malecón, officially marking its return with a fireworks display.
This event symbolizes both continuity and renewal for Puerto Vallarta’s tourism. The operating company confirmed that Marigalante II will resume commercial activities before 2026, with a special New Year’s Eve cruise also planned.
With this presentation, Marigalante II begins a new chapter in the city’s maritime and tourism history, revitalizing a beloved tradition with a future-oriented outlook.
