Running with a View

Kicking off the festivities on April 6, the sixth annual Puerto Vallarta Marathon invites runners to experience a newly designed course, starting and finishing at Puerto Mágico. Participants will traverse colorful neighborhoods and enjoy breathtaking views along the city’s picturesque coastline. The event also features a 21K Half Marathon, as well as 5K and 10K races. Sanctioned by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), it serves as a qualifying event for prestigious races like the Boston Marathon. An expo will accompany the marathon, creating a festive atmosphere that runners and spectators will enjoy.

A Celebration of Mexico’s Culinary Traditions

Also on April 6, food enthusiasts can delight in the eighth annual Feria del Taco Fest at the Puerto de Luna Hotel. The festival will feature over 40 taco varieties, ranging from traditional carnitas and suadero to innovative seafood specialties, alongside craft beer, mezcal tastings, and live music. With free admission, the event offers an open invitation to indulge in one of Mexico’s most cherished culinary delights.

Folklore and Dance at FESTVA

From May 2-9, Puerto Vallarta will host the 19th annual Vallarta Azteca Festival (FESTVA), recognized as the country’s largest folkloric dance showcase. Performers from various Mexican states, as well as groups from Central and South America and Europe, will grace the stages at Los Arcos Amphitheater and Teatro Vallarta. Free public performances will spotlight traditional dances and foster cultural exchange, enriching the community’s artistic landscape.

Restaurant Week: A Culinary Showcase

From May 15 to June 10, Restaurant Week organized by Vallarta Lifestyles will celebrate the city’s vibrant culinary scene with a selection of three-course menus priced between $25 and $34 USD at some of Puerto Vallarta’s finest restaurants. Featuring both acclaimed chefs and emerging culinary talents, this event promises an array of innovative and seasonal dishes to tantalize the taste buds.

Vallarta Pride: A Celebration of Diversity

From May 17-25, Vallarta Pride will fill the city with a burst of color and excitement, featuring parades, beach parties, concerts, and cultural events under the theme “The Future Has No Gender.” Highlights include the vibrant Pride Parade and Block Party in the Romantic Zone, the popular Drag Derby, a pet parade along the Malecón, and a Sunset Beach Party. Additionally, art exhibitions and community gatherings will enrich the festive atmosphere.
